I’m a quitter. There, I said it.

I have quit on - not everything - but most things that I’ve tried in my life. I’ve given up on so many dreams and plans when the going got too tough. I’ve ALWAYS been a quitter. I quit Girl Scouts in the 2nd grade. I quit volleyball in 3rd. I quit classes when they were too hard. I quit clubs that made me feel out of place. I even quit on career choices and life goals when someone else told me I couldn’t do it… I think you get the picture.

I believe in New Year’s Resolutions. I believe in fresh starts and new beginnings. One year has passed and no matter how wonderful it was, there were always lessons to be learned along the way. When a new year is upon us, I always take a solid look at my life, my attitudes, and my behaviors and think about what things I’d like to leave in the old year for the good of the order. I make promises to myself to change things that I don’t like or that I don’t think suit me and my life anymore - and I when I make promises, I make damn sure to keep them.
